If the lower trees have the ears for the "cowbells", they are FL (dresser) triple trees. The mounts on the sides of the upper and lower trees are for mounting the aluminum headlight housing or tins.
Stock FL trees are usually black, LOTS of aftermarket chrome units out there though. And some aftermarket triple tree sets use a lower tree with the cowbell mounts shaved and a stock FL upper tree.
BTW, if the trees came from "The Factory", there will be an ID number stamped into the lock plate on the lower trees that id's the bike that the trees came off of, for theft prevention.
