and guess what? he did a fine job, built from saving his money since he was 8, scrounging parts at every swap and biker show..... good job buddy, its killer!

For years its been about how the kid's bike is coming along. It is an icredible piece built by the kid with the watchful eye of his dad and lots of love from friends. He turned every wrench. When his after school job money ran out, the cover went back on... and he flipped through old biker magazines and photos of his grandfather's bikes. Year in, year out. Its done now and will be at the GNRS.

it is an incredible story. A total hero.

What is insane is kids these days play too many video games, watch TV all the time and learn or do nothing. Kids should be building stuff and not sitting on the couch wasting away. Most kids should aspire to do something like the kid that built that pan.

i think you're missing the point. who cares if the parents helped guide him and pay for stuff, the point I think is that he patiently waited and worked on it himself.

Man, wish I'd have done this instead of a vette. Got the bright idea at 16 I could rebuild a vette in a couple years. Here I am, 2 panheads worth of wasted money later, and it still ain't running :(

Good on the kid. That's a classy lookin bike.

i'm with papawheelie all the way!!! dylan belongs on the next home page story!!!! that bike is fuckin awesome!!! especially for a 16 year old kid. imagine the finacial discipline, hardwork and determination!!! at 16 i was trollin for BJs and blowin my money on grass. WHAT THE FUCK WAS WRONG WITH ME?????!!!!!!

cheers dylan cant wait to see the pristine indian chief you build by age 21!!!! ha ha
