we've been talkin about this masterpiece ..



and Bass, I dont know myself if there were Mustang scooter tanks with two caps, or one side oil; have seen them set up like that and figured they were converted ..

here's my stock pair ..







next to a 45's oil-side tank for size ref ..

..

am sure that's what's on this knuck, converted or not ..

regardless, you can see the lines, what inspired guys "back when" to mate them into a single tank ..

just wanted to share these & not clog up the classifieds ..

Yep, I think you're correct that the 'stock' Mustang tanks did not have a filler cap on the right side tank. The one on mine looks to have been added later...the right side on mine was also being used as the oil tank.

Holy shit...Mustang tanks rule !! Thanks guys to post these, first time I see these sexy thangs in closeup! Now I know it's worthwile to look for a set at the next swapmeet..
