If you do not need or want the stock full travel for ground clearance reasons you do not need shorter tubes all you must do is make new spacer to replace black plastic spacer between the bushings this also makes forks work better with more distance between bushes Ken

So just make the plastic piece half the size? I also have the inner spring conversion on my fork tubes (came like that) can i just use stock tubes and cut the inner springs?Thanks

NO NO lengthen then to make the distance between them greater compressing the forks . to shorten spacer would increase length of forks and travel . this plastic sleeve 1 end tight on the tube the other not .Tight goes on the bottom .
