Hi can some pls help me with my problem? I have a wla bobber build that I have had running but it will not run without choke. I have set the timming with the front cylinder 9/32 before top dead center and set the mag point at 0.022. it is very hard to start especially if I have managed to get it running. At this stage I am running the m88 rich about four turns out on the low idle. Thanks John

Mag points are set at .016. Four tuns out is too much. Do as Panheadmark says and do a leak test!

Thanks for the help, I have major air leaks in manifold. Tested it by making up a plate screwed on to manifold with a tube in it and used dish liquid bubbles every where. I have ordered some Peek manifold as my brass one are stuffed. Thanks again for the help. John

Did you clean out the idle cicuit of carb by taking out all the screw plugs including the one on mounting flange?
