Xr 750 and 1000's are adjustable at the rocker arm
Purely and simply...Cost of production!

You have to consider the ease of access too. With tanks in the way and with the inability to access the arms without removing the entire rocker box, like on Shovelheads, it's easier to adjust pushrods. I'd much rather mess with pushrods on the side of the road than pull the tops off rocker boxes, maybe pull off tanks and try and set the lash from the top of the motor.
It is what it is. Plus, changing history is not my bag.
Personally I would rather remove four pushrod covers that you can do with your bare hands than have to remove rocker covers.
For all the above reasons. Plus the rigidity of the rockerbox ,like on a Shovelhead is much stronger being one piece than if it had a removable top to access the rocker arms for valve adjustment.

Fueling Rivera made them years ago. No reason for them so they never caught on. You must be a car guy.

^^...That's been a few years ago....
Like maybe 10 or 15....

They was made for correcting arm geometer... Not for adjustment of valve lash...

I'm with you on that.
If it won't sell by the groves, there is not need to justify the production...

Droves. Groves are trees
Can this be the why hasn't Harley or the aftermarket thread...?

I'd like to see 1) time-saver Evo Sporty pushrods and 2) Sporty cams that let you advance or retard exaust cams (having 4 cams is the perfect setup for this. Its a hot rodders wet dream).
