I'd like to try a pair of coils instead of a wasted spark single coil for troubleshooting purposes. The bike is a '72 TR6C, points, battery, good charging system with tympanium, and 12v positive ground.
Should I go with a pair of 6V coils or 12V coils? Any suggestions on a brand that isn't too expensive and reliable enough to rule out the coil that's installed as the problem?
Thanks!
Johnny

flypa38,12v coils are what you should use with points,6 volt coils are used on electronic ign. With all the EI's being installed, good used 12 volt coils are plentyful and cheap. Jack

Like Jack said, you'll want 12v for a std points system. Cycle Craft makes a VERY good Lucas look alike. You can get them from British Cycle Supply...I use them on almost everything I have.

^ Goldy knows the deal - Cycle Craft is always the best selection (in my opinion) run their 12volt - they retail for something like $60 + ship and are super reliable.
