I'm trying to figure out where is a good place to plug in a small 1.5" mechanical oil temp gauge- the one I have has a 3/8fitting and a 1" probe. My oil tank has a center fill plug under the sprung seat so I can't use a temp dipstick like on the side fillers. I've got a S&S 96" evo engine. Oil pressure gauge mounted directly on the engine (replacing the oil press switch). I could just get a T fitting and plug it in one of the oil lines... but I worry that will interfere and block up the oil flow. Or could I just plug it into the return line (from the filter to the tank)? Welding a bung to the oil tank itself isn't really an option right now. Any good ideas?

Thanks,
Jim
