Very cool.
That old beast sounds good. Also appears to pull pretty good too. Good luck on the run.

The bike sounds and looks fantastic. You're going to have a blast and probably blisters on you hiney :) I'm green with envy; safe journey and may Lady Luck smile upon you!
Cool, Buzz. I have a buddy who has a JD, too. Love the total loss oiling system with hand pump.
Thanks all. The bike is really running smooth and strong - something hard to do with a motorcycle this old. Let's hope it rides and sounds that good after 4,000 miles in two weeks across the US. Will post Youtube videos and blog at as often as I can on my way across.
That JDH is a killer sled!
Have a great time on the Cannonball and kick some ass!
good luck and ride safe!
Bolted on an American flag to the luggage rack this evening. We will be riding on Sept 11 and I simply woul dnot feel right NOT flying a falg at least that day, fi not the entire route across the US.
