I believe pre Tillotson Years so 1965 and back...

The air cleaner center screw arrived in '56 and continued through '66 on Big Twins, Sportsters, and Servi_Cars. (actually continued on Servi's!!)
All Ks and other models previous to '56 used J-Slot type.
There are a couple different types. Do the instructions on your have a window frame around them, or are they open on the sides?

my clmyer manual for Ironheads shows an air cleaner exactly like that as being.....1959-1965 XL
