Wow! That is some weird shit! "Fuckin' rich people!" For $50, if I was in the area and just wanted to see some awesome bikes and historical pieces, it would be worth it. Not much different then going to see a concert or something. Wouldn't be staying at the Ritz, but would enjoy the show. And come on... people watching at an event like that would be awesome!!

Actually, in all reality the event would probably just piss me off.

So... is anyone going?

Anyone know where the pictures came from on the website backdrops? The photos were awesome!

thought the folks here would get a glimpse as to how far out this whole scene is getting - I would like to tap into some of that cash though for some of the local guys that I collaborate with at www.teamrotten.com

This show is near me. I've been going back and forth on whether to go. On one hand, I can ride there and check out bikes I may not see elsewhere. On the other hand, the douche-factor may be too high for me to stomach. We have the BSAOC Clubman's show coming up at the end of the month. That should be good enough for me.

edit: My lady and I debated actually staying at the hotel. It's really, really nice...and pricey, too, for sure. But romantic getaway with your female AND old bikes in one event? That might be hard to beat. Plus the riding in the area is awesome.

See? Now I'm talking myself back into it.

*looks in wallet*

Aw never mind. I'm not going.

Fucking radical.

1949 Vincent Black Lightning - Supercharged

This is one of only 30 Black Lightnings ever made and was the first one in the USA.

This bike held the 1-mile world speed record (unsupercharged) in 1953 and then held the American record of 182 mph supercharged. This is probably the meanest pre-1950 bike you will ever see.
