I really dig the look of bare metal frames and tanks. I know some of use use WD-40 to keep the rust off. Will the WD-40 cause any problems when it comes to painting or powder coating the frame and tins in the future?

WD-40 WILL MAKE YER PAINT FISH EYE LIKE A SON-OF-A-BITCH!!!! if you put it on bare metal make sure you get EVERY speck/drop off before you paint.

Yeah, I think the only way to really get that shit completely out is to bake the metal, like in a powdercoating booth or something.

Gibbs is not supposed to cause problems down the road. for the record, WD-40 does NOT contain silicone, and it relitivly easy to remove when it's time for paint.
