The only hassle free ignition there is for a Triumph, no battery needed, hot sparks.
Brit bikes equals wiring and other electrical problems most of the time, with a good magneto it allways runs.
I have had points- and electronic ignitions with and without a battery they have all given me a headache at some point. Even with completely new wiring and a new rotor.
I am not electronically chalenged, wiring industrial generators and engines used to be my job. I know what works and what doesn't, never took a shortcut on my Triumph but still.....
A magneto saves me a lot of trouble.
