Seems to be alot of Triumph OIF frames for sale...are these less popular and if so for what reason? I would like to start a brit project and it seems these are easier to come by.I just say somebody post some pix of a few OIF bikes and I liked the look with the hardtail......

Yep, the OIF bikes are cheaper, and they made a pile of 'em. This is to your favor; they have good engines. Check out Hatch's recent posts for pictures.

Definitely cheaper starting point, and as VA Rebel mentioned, by that time (circa 71) they had the bugs pretty well out of the 650.

Stock OIF bikes don't bring the money due to the unnaturally high seat position (this is the reason these bikes tanked in the market way back when, too).

Problem with doing a custom OIF is you can't just bolt up a hardtail section and go; so you need to be a little more resourceful.
