Im kind of interested in the silver solder repair to the cylinders. I have a pair of KHK cylinders with evidence of the same type repair. I’ve done a lot of small joining jobs with silver solder but not anything like pooling a puddle on a cylinder wall. Did you do it yourself ?

Great thread…Thanks

You can see the complete build here: Vintage Motorcycle Eccentrics • View topic - Double Trouble
I don't know how silver brazing would work on a large area but I chose doing it this way since the cylinder is
4130 chromoly and didn't want to cause hard spots. These are Routt special built jugs so had to save them.
If your KHK jugs can't be bored again it's worth a shot. The trick is to not over heat the weld.

I haven't been over there for a little while, but it looked as if you were pretty much singlehandedly keeping that forum going. "With great achievement comes great responsibility," or something?

Most of the original group have gone the way of FB or twitter. A few friends and family, not on social media asked
me to keep it going so I will. I've done some other builds on there as well.
