Ok, so I was looking through the picture post and both of the trump ones where bobber and OIF. I have nothing agianst bobbers, but most of the pics in the OIF post where bobbers too. Where are the choppers:confused: so for further inspiration for my triumph chopper, I want to see some more. Here is a pick of mine........

Re: triumph choppers....

Can anyone tell me who made these prism tanks? I've been trying to find a long and low prism tank for while now. I see 'em on a lot of the old long bikes and most guys seem to hate the prisms nowadays, but for some reason I still can't find one! Looks great!

This Triumph has a Ness prism..but Santee made them also in different lengths... I see them from time to time for sale..but it's a challenge to find the length you need/want...

Here are the Santee's..they where sold by a few distributors..

Re: triumph choppers....

This short letter from Art with small pic was in the "questions & answers" section of Street Chopper issue from September 1977...

(Check out those perfect lines and stance of this chop..damn..)
Hey Danny,
My brother Rick just turned me on to this website, what a mind blower seeing my old Triumph on the internet!!!! And me too!!
I have a couple of copies of the Street Chopper issue that the bike came out in and I go back and look at that article from time to time just to relive the past.Recently I've started thinking how cool it would be to have that bike back again.
The bike started out as a '67 TR6C with a Bonneville head on it that I bought in late 1969,it was pretty much stock with a 6" over front end on it. The chopper bug hit me in early 1970 and I put an AEE weld-on hardtail section on it with my own sissy bar and fender setup.Sometime around 1972 I discovered Denver's Choppers and fell in love with those long springers. so I bought a 30" over-stock springer and stretched the front down tube to let the engine sit level.I used a Sportster gas tank at the time, modified to sit on top of the main frame tube. After a couple of years of riding it like that I decided to change it again and go with an Arlen Ness diamond tank,so again I modified the frame to fit the new tank and that is how it wound up in Street Chopper magazine.
I'm glad to see my work is appreciated on the other side of the planet! Thanks!...................Art

Re: triumph choppers....

That's just crazy Art ! Thanks for joining in man !
I posted your bike many many times before...
I even made a huge drawing from it when I was 14 or so but I can't find it anymore..probably left it in school back then..

That Street Chopper color page was first on my bedroom wall, then moved on to the basement/workspace wall and now on to my workshop wall..:D

If you have more pics from back in the days...spread them out here please!
Hope you find that scoot back before somebody cuts up that frame and shorten that Denver's front end...

I have some photographs of the Triumph that I took during the course of ownership as it went through it's various changes,I'll have to scan them and add them in to a note sometime soon.
Currently I'm doing the finishing touches on my '79 Harley Shovelhead.I'm running a Fred Hernandez built rigid frame and 15"over wide springer that he built for me back in 1997.He used to work for Denver's Choppers doing frames and front ends and he had his own shop back in '97. I'll try to get some pictures in of that one as well.
Re: triumph choppers....

that bike rocks, and its awsome to hear first hand history on it!

Does Anyone know any information about this bike? Rake, and springer length?

Thanks
Elliot
Re: triumph choppers....

it's a local bike here in So. Cal. it belongs to a guy that worked at West Coast Choppers named Casey I think, we did some work on it a couple of years ago, really nice paint work.
