I have a high gear that the bush is chewed up on for a 68 TR6r (part T2316) and needs replaced. I just picked up another bottom end motor 67 T120R that had a good, usable high gear and bush in it (Part T1914).

Both are 26 Teeth and the bush (not the gear) is the same part number (t1370) in both gears so can I just run T120 High Gear (only) on the TR6 tranny with the remaing TR6 Gear set or will I need to press the bush out some how and then replace it?

Thanks!

I believe it will work it should work fine, somewhere around late 68 they put in a longer bush that extended out of the high gear shaft about 3/8" but they all interchange.
ether way it's no big deal to press in a new bushing.

Thanks Tony. My searches came up with some conflicting stuff so that helps a lot.

I will figure out how to press the bush out if I NEED to but if I don't NEED to there's just less change of me jacking it up ya know?
