Does the engine have a distributor behind the barrels or where the barrels sit or an area in the timing cover for points ? Does the timing side crankcase half have a ball bearing or a bronze bush main crank bearing ?
The early engines had a distributor, and the later engines had points in the timing cover and the last 1969 on had a ball race on the timing side for the crank( the one to have).
