I really like the idea of the Tri-Spark ignition being self contained with no separate ignition box to find a home for. That in itself would be worth the additional cost. Can they be run batteryless? I did a search and the only thing I came up with is Tony the Torch said they will give up the ghost if you run batteryless at high RPM. How high RPM? Anyone run one successfully?:confused:

the one that failed at high rpm was on a Trident running at about 8k RPM at Laguna Seca R/R. I did one on a dirt bike T100C and it works fine, a lot will depend on how stable your charging system is at high RPM, a battery is just a real good voltage filter.
