You probably know this, but it's just a slightly modified wassell peanut in aluminum. You could make that same tank in mild steel for less than $100.

I do like polished aluminum, though.

Am I crazy to be love with this tank? Even at that price I find myself drawn to it. Someone send me one for Christmas or Hannuka (I'm quarter Jew).

They added those goofy mounting tabs on each side of the tunnel, modified it for a single petcock on one side, and switched the gas tank cap and bung from british style to a bayonet style gas cap. That's it. It otherwise looks exactly like a high tunnel wassell peanut.

Can anyone tell how it has been modified? Sectioned down the center?
