Finaly it startet !!<O:p</O:p
I have postet startet some treads, like "Shovelhelp","pushrods for dummies", "ultima ignition ?"<O:p</O:p
I have finaly sortet out my bike ! It was a combo of different things who made me wanna push the hole thing in the river J. I had a leaky lifter, a stuck exhaust valve, a ruined coil and the float was to low…<O:p</O:p
But now it starts and everything seems to be fine and dandy !<O:p</O:p
I have planed some minor changes to the bike, so I tougth I would start a build tread. I am not going to cut the frame so this tread will be nothing compeared to many of the other professional build treads on JJ.<O:p</O:p
Hope you like my simple build !

This is how it looked when i got a year ago. I removed the cases, extra lights and reduced the fenders to a minimum for the first year. Im saving all the dresser parts and i will leave the frame original . who knows, maybe i want to ride it like a fulldresser when i become an old fart :)

I have always liked the look of an reversed fl front fender as a rear fender, since the front fender is to narrow for the frame mounts i made some spacerplates.

That was a good looking bike to begin with. Now your off to a good start on making it your own. Keep us posted.
good morning Silverback..

nice start on your project and a smart move to save those oem parts....
are you going to lower it or keep it stock hight?

keep up the good work...

Good morning !
Thank you for the coment ! I am thinking about lovering it, i think it looks a litle goofy stock higth, but on the other hand i like to be able to ride whitout grinding my floorboards. I am instaling a 21" disk brake wheel, so i propably have to cut the springs a little... and i would like to have my svingarm atleast leveled.... I think i just ansvered the question, yes i probably gonna lover it :)

Bike looking good.

lowered my 72 with 11" shocks. too low, drags frames if not careful, had to cut pipes as they were dragging too.

Before

After

pipes whacked, support removed, brackets made.
