my buddy has one of these. i did some research for him........they are a strong motor if you can get them running. he has nothing but trouble with his. he put compression releases on it, numerous chrysler town and country starters, fouls plugs all the time, very unbalanced motor. he is trtying to sell it now. he never really even rode it. breaks down every time he tries to. my advice would be to stay away.rustyparts said:

One of my old mans buddies found out about these piles of shit about ten years ago and had nothing but trouble too. He did get rid of his though.
Avoid Nostalgia
Cycle. It was a neat concept to use Chevy engine parts, but nothing but trouble. The woes of one Supervee builder, Red, were chronicled in Iron Horse several years ago. Red sold the bike and I saw it at the Wauseon vintage meet a few years ago. The new owner was riding it and it sounded pretty damned good (sort of like a hopped-up sportster). But it was leaking a lot of oil. I've got a picture of it somewhere. I'll post if I can find it.

Just to mention, the guy that runs that site lives in Chicago.
He has nothing to do with Nostalgia-Cycle, other than buying the tooling and rights to that generation SuperVee.
His intention was to fix the bugs so you could buy a good running engine or complete bike right off the bat.
I talked to him about five years ago, and he was hoping to have pre production models for us to test that summer.
That was the last we heard, he stopped responding to emails, and that website hasn't been changed since then.
So I dunno wassup.

wow....a bagger AND a shit engine....sweeeet. What would be the purpose of these engines? I mean; a crate Evo is so cheap, runs great, why spend the time and $$ to build a giant, ugly engine that is shit?? dont get it....

It was a good idea at the time to make an easily servicable engine using parts that you could get anywhere. Problem was they weren't developed properly and had shit quality control out the door. They didin't have crate evo motors when they started making the super V.

My friend has one and, like everyone else has said, nothing but trouble!! He even went to the trouble of converting his to KICK ONLY!!!!

I remeber the concept was the front 2 cylinders from a small block chevrolet? You need a custom frame. I belive it was a nostalgia cycle project.

Super Vee is Made in America by Nostilga SuperVee around 1982-1985 Its a 90 degree design it was modeled off the front two cylinders of a small block chevy and is air cooled.
