This might be a dumb question but is the stock right side foot rest suppose to be longer than the left?
I just kind of mocked some things up tonight and the footrest seems awfully far away from the shifter.
Sorry, its a 1970 650 on a rigid frame.
When I got the bike it had forward controls that I'm now replacing with stock ones.
I bought 2 footrests on e-bay that are actually in good shape, its just the right side looked alittle short.
Of course I was just eyeballing everything....
sounds like you might have a OIF foot peg . Can you post a pic . And to answer your question the part that the rubber goes over is the same length . They should follow the contur of the engine case . ( primary and trany cover )
i bought a set of triumph foot pegs off of the horse board and the RIGHT one is longer than the left. also the part the rubber goes on has a bend to it and i dont know if this is normal.
