stupid smokeout ?

Never heard of it,,is it like the Rendezvous?

been for the past few years; you used to be able to camp on site but thats no more. the place to stay if you can get a room is the holiday inn, it was total MAYHEM last year.

any hotel.

there are like 4 or so main hotels. if you want to stay close.

Thank guys, thats kinda what I figured...just wasnt sure if there were any in particular to avoid like the plague....

Rob, I still have that tank, and I havent really made up my mind yet if Im gonna use it or not...you still need one? PM me..

Ed, Im down for sure...You staying at the Inn? I doubt there are any more rooms there, but Im gonna call anyway...

Plan on going this year. i too will be a newbie. Hopefully hanging with the TI Tuesday gang. don't know where to stay either.

i'm totally down for a shitface session at a bar.

Holiday Inn parking lot was the party spot this year...

I know some folks stayed in the campground right around the corner from there and dug it.

I've been for the last 4 years, I think...they get kinda blurry. Best conglomeration of homegrown bikes I've seen. Some yups have found out about it, but it's hard to hide. Lots of fun.

Better book a room now. My buddy reserved the last 2 rooms in the Hampton Inn (?), and the Holiday Inn was sold out.

Went last year and stayed about 10 miles down the road and it was not inconvenient... still packed and a great time... for anyone who has not been, it is what rallies used to be about before they became so popular with the weekend rider crowd (not a bad thing.. just a different thing).

If anyone is heading out from the houston area, drop me a note... this year will travel from the ROT Rally in Austin, up to Laconia where I will have a big art show for bike week, down to York, PA for another art show and a tour of the plant, and then to the smokeout before heading back to TX... other riders welcome to join.

Yep, already sent Tommy an e on this very thing...just waiting to hear back..by any chance do you know where they stayed, and how far out it was?

I went two years ago and had a blast, dont remember where i stayed. I was sick and drunk plus i stayed with the Flyrite crew so i never payed attention to the name of the hotel. So far i am planning on going this year.

Ok, well got a room at the Ramada jsut up the road from the HI, and around the corner from the fairgrounds kinda..they should still have some left..55 per night for a double rate, w/ free breakfast if you can get your ass up before 9..

OK I'll be the one to ask, where is the smokeout? do you need to roll your own? What weekend is it? Do people actually ride there or is it the traditional trailer crowd? Sorry but I had to ask?

Hey man, no worries, well maybe some, but not necessarily about you..
anyway, Smokeout is put on by the Horse mag..Its in Salisbury NC June 23 & 24 this year, thats a fri and sat for you callendarly challenged folks... Caters mainly to the homebuilt crowd, self fab is welcomed, pro-one accessories and shunned kind of a thing.. Would have gone last year, but the bike wasnt done in time, so Ima goin this yr!!
