Hey everybody,

a friend's bike was stolen in Raleigh NC about 3 weeks ago.
i though i might post some pictures and the VIN here, just in case someone comes across it or parts of it somewhere in the classifieds.
blue '75 Ironhead Sportster VIN: 3A23859H5.
these pictures are from the ad my friend bought the bike from:

it was stored for being exported to Germany, on a locked compound, inside a locked van.
another bike was stolen as well, a '79 Ironhead parts bike, VIN 3A12562H9, i do not have any pics of that one unfortunately.

thanks,

Fred

Who did it has no idea its a cheap bike in 3 thousand bucks usually

they have field film at export holding - if it was turned off for some reason its the help that did that - take that to the bank

thing was cheap, for sure, still sad for the owner. the guy is into ironheads and the funky looking ones from the 70s are his favorite.
the compound belongs to a body shop i think it is, and whoever stole the bikes managed to avoid the cameras. maybe someone who used to work there, i don't know.
crazy risk to break and enter for a bike like this, i know, we couldn't believe it. extra ugly for the van owner, too.
