shovel, ratchet top 4 spd w/ bearing support, 1.5 bdl open belt drive. Under normal riding conditions everything is cool, but if i really get on it especially at lower rpm's, something on the primary side squeaks a bit until the heavy load evens out or if i let off. One answer is to not get on it as hard, but I'm wondering too if maybe the main tranny bearing is getting worn out? Alignment is good, the belt doesnt rub on either side of the front pulley and tracks good on the rear pulley. Any ideas?

I had a clutch that when slipped squealed like tirespinning, may not be anything to do
with your your problem, but if you can tighten the pressure plate it may help.
