A FEW WEEKS AGO I PICKED UP A GOOD RUNNING '72 650 5 SPEED OIF BIKE AND FINALLY DECIDED TO BUILD MYSELF A CHEAP SHOP BIKE USING PARTS THAT I HAD LYING AROUND. BASICALLY JUST KEPT THE MOTOR AND SOLD THE ROLLING CHASSIS OFF. THE REST IS JUST JUNK I ALREADY HAD. I WAS ABLE TO TRADE FOR SOME OLD CHROMED PARTS THAT I NEEDED, SO THE ONLY REAL EXPENSE IS GOING TO BE CHROMING THE SISSY BAR, AND BUYING THE PIPES. I'D MAKE SOME PIPES MYSELF, BUT I KNOW IF I DID THAT I WOULD WANT TO HAVE THEM CHROMED, AND THAT JUST ISN'T IN THE BUDGET. THESE ARE PICS FROM TODAY BEFORE I TORE IT DOWN FOR FINAL WELDING AND FRAME PAINT/POLISHING. SHOULD BE BACK TOGETHER AND ON THE ROAD NEXT WEEK. NOW OFF TO WORK ON THE BORN FREE 4 BIKE......

Bitchin. Can't wait to see your born free bike.
nice bike holmes;)
Very nice, love the tank. Is it off a moped? Why not just use stainless for the sissy bar to avoid chroming fees? Last one my friend and I did cost $18 for the material. We've done stainless pipes for $100 to $150 in material too. I've also scored a bunch of scrap stainless tubing and bends at Auto swaps.
Great looking bike except for the vertical sissy bar.. I fucking hate vertical sissy bars! Lean it a LITTLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don't listen to Trent. :). Vertical sissybars are a time honored tradition!
To me the tank is out of proportion with the rest of the bike. Otherwise looks good!
Todd you make me sick, how can one man build so many cool Trumps. Ha ha looks great. cant wait for the BF4 bike.
THANKS GUYS, GLAD YOU DIG IT. ITS BEEN A NICE CHANGE OF PACE FROM THE MORE "SHOWY" BIKES I USUALLY BUILD. MIGHT HAVE TO BUILD ANOTHER WHEN I GET BACK FROM BORN FREE. I HAVE ENOUGH STUFF LAYING AROUND FOR ONE MORE AND THE LOW STRESS AS-FOUND BUILD STYLE IS RELAXING.

Looks great. What are those handlebars?

BARS ARE STELLINGS AND HELLINGS I GOT IN A TRADE WITH CHICO

Bitchin. Can't wait to see your born free bike.
YOU AND ME BOTH. AS OF RIGHT NOW ITS JUST A FRAME SITTING ON THE BENCH AND TIMES TICKING!

I GOT THE TANK OFF OF A TOTE GOAT SCOOTER I BOUGHT BECAUSE IT HAD A HARLEY SPRINGER ON IT??? NOT REALLY SURE WHAT ITS FROM. THE SISSY BAR WAS A REJECT I BUILT FOR ANOTHER PROJECT. PLUS I'M A WHORE FOR CHROME. PLUS I'M LAZY.

ITS ACTUALLY LEANED JUST A LITTLE. PLUS THE LITTLE CHROME FENDER ALREADY HAD THE HOLES DRILLED IN IT AND I DIDN'T WANT TO PUT ANYMORE IN.

HA HA, THE TANK IS WAY OUT OF PROPORTION. THATS THE POINT. THE WHOLE BIKE IS THE SIZE OF A CHILDS BICYCLE, SO THAT SHOULD GIVE YOU AN IDEA OF HOW SMALL THE TANK REALLY IS.
i like it alot

are you gonna mount the P-pad ? because it ain't bad white with a black soloseat
this build can take it

maybe just use a white and black grip on the bars and ur done ;)

great job !
Nice!
our bikes are related.
we should have a family reunion soon!
head on out!
Nice job, even your low budget bikes kick ass.
