I've seen this on a good few early brit bikes and am wondering if a hard ridden (50 hp or so) bike could use a single row primary chain and not destroy it !

If a modern bike can pull wheelys without popping the rear chain it seems to me that a sensibly ridden (no wheelys or dropping three gears while coming down from 100mph ) street bike could manage a single up front without much problem !

Yeah , I got that !

I have no intention of "cheaping out" on the chain (primary or secondary) !

My plan is to find the absolute best possible product to prevent early failure of the drive ! modern metallurgy should at least equal earlier double row as used on unit model Triumphs !
