Bobbers, bobbers, bobbers- choppers, choppers, choppers! Don't get me wrong; I run a bobber myself but there is a world of other bikes out there that are the coolest fuckin things in the world.

Like for instance the trackmaster in this months Dice- I defy anyone to tell me that isnt the coolest bike. I only bought my Triumph cos I saw one that was trying to be a trackmaster and then the guy who owned that bike went and bought himself a real trackmaster- what a beast.

So show me your flat trackers and desert racers.

That Goldie has a pretty simple wiring diagram, not even a kill button!

Bet it sounds pretty. Or would, if the owner wasn't shy of blue-ing up the header.

Sluggo, I require to see further pics as you accrue them. Please.

(Slippage.) Man I wisht I'd had that diagram fifty years ago.

Jimmy Plain (1942-2014). I gather that he was fast. I know he had a good greaser DA!

Looks like he’s saying ‘eeeehhhh’, after skidding to a stop.

The seller wants $9500 for this nice-looking tracker. Trackmaster frame, engine largely stock but all the major electrical stuff has been updated/upgraded. "Hm," I thought. "If I wasn't an elderly, impoverished cripple, I might buy that." Then I came to the end of the description and read: No title; sold with bill of sale.

That made me happy, because now I don't want it anymore.

Fri. going to look at some British flat trackers in SW MI. I'll take pics.

I agree the Moto Parillas are good-looking. An advanced design for its time.
This image is random Pinterest bait. I know nothing about it except that an Alan Braswell posted it there. Sure is purty, ain't it?

Another thing I know more or less nothing about is Amal GP carbs. But just going by the slide chamber/main carb body's OD, mercy that looks like a big devil. Like a 1.312", maybe?, or bigger still.

Late '70s Duc in a Trackmaster-style frame by Ray Hensley. A 900 from the factory, now ±1000cc. I never seen such a thing before.

This thread somewhat inspired/influenced me to build this bike. I wish I still had it.

Oh my that's nice.
1982 Ducati Pantah 750. I run a daytime MOT (UK; no lights), I've covered 800 very enjoyable miles since finishing the build this summer, but the days are drawing in now, will soon be weekends only.

yes, ya meant to still have a brake light if on a daytime MOT,.... but many get away without one,
under the law, It is (Section 74, Para 1, of the road vehicle lighting regulation of 1971)....,'all vehicle's built before January 1st 1971 need not have a brake light switch but if one is fitted it must be in working condition, those built after January 1st must be fitted with a working brake light' ... generally here in England the cops are real laid back & either dont care or don't know the laws in detail, & they ain't gonna shoot ya for a broken tail light, so most things are ok unless theres a 2 minute clampdown on bikes for some reason only known to the local chief constable.
Is a brake light required?
No brake light required, for a daytime MOT you have no lights of any kind, all you need is a horn and a reflector on the rear, on the centre line of the bike, these are basically the same requirements for a bicycle when used on a public highway.
it depends on year of first registration... but in practice it's not that well understood by those doing MOT tests or a blind ee is turned

True, the rules around lights vary with age, for example you need indicators (turn signals in the US) after1986 and what you said about the brake switch, I think there is another date for combined front and back brake switches but with daytime MOT it is no lights.
I had an interesting one regarding speedo
You don’t need it for the mot
But on a public highway you need
tester told me if he wanted to road test bike he couldn’t do on the road and have to fail it .
I wasn’t going to be funny but would have suggested we can road test on local aeródrome.
Oh yea and got this delivered to me on a daytime mot
Tested in wales 😉
