Thank you. It actually came with a couch and bags, but the straight pipes had to GO.
I like to think I've slowly steered back to its former glory.
Because, you know if you take a hard right, that hack'll fly😉.
Just shagged this 77 FXE. All too common story, buddy was gonna fix it, took it apart, never came back. Sat for a few years and I was able to buy it. Plan is to get it on the road as is, soon, then make it kool when there's snow on the ground. Have a ½ dozen ideas but the best idea is get it shook down and worthy. Anyways...
It is braided stainless. Yuk. That will not stay. Truth be told it was loosely put together for the picture and "parts managment"...😏
Here's the dirty little slu...uh, bike how I got it;
My '80 FXE-F is ugly, but has decent bones. Only had it a week, and am still deciding on a direction. More than likely ditching the crazy air brush for tons of flame licks, narrow 12" z-bars, and mid mount floor boards. Gotta complete the 5 into 4 conversion the previous owner started, and tidy up the wiring
Ugly is pretty harsh, maybe "dated" is a nicer description 😜. Definitely has a mid 90's vibe. Looks like a good start though, some nice pieces to get rolling! Good luck!
Some things got changed...new bars I cut out of this tall ape hanger and then flipped and also made new sissybar to fit the new fender.
the black color on the frame is photoshopped with oil lines just to see how it will look...rear fender is still black too.but still
