so I cut up these old K Model(?) trees I have, but now I'm wondering how strong they'd be. Were these thing prone to break easy? would you trust these?

Huge improvement!


I've had a set of K trees in my tool box for years that I have been meening to take a grinder to.

judging by what you took off of there they look fine.

That setup looks sweet man. Question about those thick countersunk washers, where did you get them? Or did you make them?

I did 2 or 3 sets on Sportsters I built to sell back in the 80's. No problems. I'm going to try and hook up a new computer and scanner next week, I'll try to post some pics.

Are you going to leave the cover on the lower tree or clean it up too?

thank man. I turned them on a lathe from aluminium.

you should see the pile of mistakes
