Its time to mount the seat...everythings ready minus the seat spring mounting tabs. I bought these off e bay and wanted to ask before I started cutting and welding.
Whats the "proper" way to mount said tabs in this picture?

Looks like a bolt on type - no welding needed.

those tabs are meant to be sandwiched on the top shock mount between the frame and the fender rail

they tend to rotate about the shock mount

As for the Fab Kevs stuff I think thats what I need........Ill either make em or order a set.

I got a Fabulous Kevin seat hinge - It's rock rolid, you can't go wrong with that!

thanks, but at the moment I have a cheapO seat hinge. I hear they break easy as well. Ill keep you in mind.
