Whats the difference in the 60-70's frames. Bonneville, and the other models. Is there a "best year'' frame to buy when converting to a hardtail bob job? School me please...

1970 is the best year only because of the front motor mount being removeable. As far as hardtailing one I really don't think it matters, as long as it's an old non oil in frame. I've seen them done too and also look great but they are basically weld on only.

For 650 frames there was a change in the steering head angle in 66,this was to improve high speed handling ,it changed from 65 degrees to 62 degrees. At the same time fairing mounting lugs were added(they look ugly).
