I just got a 68 xlch from a nice member on here, but it has a mikuni carb that seems to have some issues..it's not getting fuel..i have an s&s super e that i tried on it and it seems to be gettin g too much fuel to start..it has an 068 jet in it,should i put smaller jets and if so which size?...it's a stock magneto kick only and i'm getting spark,if i squirt gas in the carb,it'll fire...i had it running, but not well, with the mikuni, but i'm thinking the super e is a better carb with an accelerator pump and return cable...any input would be appreciated thanks..george

Not sure what the altitude is where you are but I always start out with the 68 main and the 295 intermediate jets. Also turn the accelerator pump down that will still give you plenty of gas. You do not pull of the main jet till you are at highway speeds. I have one of these carbs on one of my personal bikes and have sold a few in my day. Jets are available in a wide assortment.
