Trying to sort out how to go about putting a hydraulic rear brake on a rigid pan frame. I have all the setup from a 72 but that makes the wheel spacing out to lunch do to the fact that the backing plate hits the frame and needs to be spaced over. I know the early juice brakes have narrower shoes but are the drums narrower or dished?

If I was going to all the work to put hydraulic brakes on a rigid I would do disc. It is alot easier.

I want to stay away from the disc brake. The 58-63 drum seems to be the way to go from what I can see.
