i assume the pipe changes are due to the generator style vs nose cone shovels? i am digging the goose-cut style pipes (the ones where the rear pipe goes behind the trans and the front pipe goes behind the frame leg) and would like a set for my 74 but they are only listed for 60-69 shovels. anyone know if they will work on the 74 without modification? if i need to cut em up ill just try to make something on my own.

thanks all.

Nothing with the engine or trans will interfere with putting a set of generator shovel pipes on a cone shovel. What could get in the way is either the brake pedal/linkage, or the dresser style battery, nothing you can't work around. I do think it looks kinda "off" to have the front pipe bent to clear the space where the generator isn't. If you started with a front cone dresser pipe, and a rear FX or aftermarket over the trans pipe, you could put whatever kind of ends you wanted on them.
