My kid is 17, likes working on our old T bucket, and his 71 CST truck, and thinks he wants to get a bike. I'm limited as to what I can do from having a disability, so I need some good opinions on how to do this. I want hm to learn the mechanics, but I don't want something he's working on more than riding. We sat a budget of 5k aside.
1. Should I try scrounging around for a rode hard and put away wet evo?
2. Buy him an old ironhead which would leave a decent amount for parts.
3. Buy him a Buell and let him run that
Or should I pick up someting like an old Trumpet, or BSA just to be different
How have you guys gone about getting your kids bikes?
