I've read about five different ways to adjust pushrods including the one in my manual and all of them rely on the thread count on the pushrods. being that diff brands have different thread sizes it doesn't seem accurate to be counting turns of a wrench. Anyone here have a more accurate/mathmatical way of adjusting pushrods?

And I'm running hydraulic lifters.

Thanks

The main thing to remember is that you need a 0.100" preload with a tolernce of 0.010"

This article explains things pretty well and gives you an idea of adjustments for diferent brand pushrods.
