I can't seem to get this thing to stop drippin. I have an inline fuel filter, is there any reason why I can't get rid of the one on the tank. I think htat would alow me to snug down on the gasket a bit more. I have an o-ring in there and the filter, but ther is no room for a second o-ring.

Did you try some teflon dope on the threads? Just a little maybe all it needs
Yep did teflon tape. the problem is it's a bitch to snug down with the o-ring, and the filter base. there just isn't enough thread. I may have too bit of an o-ring. I would thing a inline filter would be good enough, but I know in tank is ideal for rust flakes and debri. I just wanna get it on the road without getting cover in gas!

clean the threads on both......if that doesn't work then pipe dope or ask your local pipe fitter.....they will always have the answer for a leaky anything.
