Trying to finish up my 65' and ran into a small problem. I don't remember wich line goes to what port. I'm running a horseshoe tank to a factory pump, only 3 lines. I need to plum in a oil filter but should be able to figure that out once the 3 are done. Any help would be sweet! I'm trying to get pics on here, but I am having a hard time...

I'm guessing that you still are running the cast Iron OEM pump...

The port at the very bottom of the pump will be the feed line...It will go to the lowest port on the oil tank...Most likely that will be in the back of the tank like the OEM tank....

The port that is on the cover of the pump will be the return.....It goes to one of the ports in front of the tank...this line will feed the filter, when installed...

The vent line is the one above the pump in the motor case...It also goes to the tank next to the return port...

Some oil tanks, have a slight restriction(crimped or flattened) on the vent line, to keep from sucking oil in the tank. So that is something you want to check. If both vent and return are low and tubed, see if one is restricted, and that is the vent, the other would be the return. If you get them hooked up wrong, the oil return can deadhead and cause leaks. Had one in the shop a few months ago, that the customer did the oil lines on, and his kept blowing the oring on the external filter he installed. Return, hooked to the vent was the problem. Some tanks are not done this way, so it could be, or not. But worth checking into.
