Pan "heads": need a tech tip

i "searched and couldnt find anything.
anyone have a good way to install valves,springs,etc. into the heads WITHOUT a compressor tool. AKA: build is in my living room.
i dont have the "proper" tool.
any experience with this would be appreciated.

i figured on the C clamp,but the socket and cut out is perfect.
off to the local ghetto flea market.
you may be able to use a 02 Sensor socket it has a openong all teh way down the side ,,like15$ at auto store,,use hemostats to insert keepers
It's kind of ghetto but you can always buy a valve spring compressor, do what you need to do, and then return it. Actually, most auto parts stores will lend you a tool such as this. Most friends will too unless you're the kind that doesn't return stuff.

so i go and buy a large C clamp....and it breaks...imagine that:rolleyes:

...all my friends are carpenters.;)

tomorrow ill go to the auto parts store and get a spring compressor.
