Click on my profile and then the link to see some of the stuff I do. I do some off the wall stuff from time to time. What is the material?

Do you have any Triumph buckles left?
Not sure, I haven't done a run of buckles in about a year. I've got abox of bukles in the back porch of all sorts of designs. I can go look. Brass is really expensive to get now even at scrapyards and I need about 30 lbs to do a pour. I have artwork completed for a few more designs and really should kick myself in the ass to get going on them again but time... And my regular job has me working overtime lately.

I went to the metal place to buy 12 inches of 1.5 inch round bar the other day and the cost was $120. I can only imagine what 30 lbs. worth costs.

It used to be 2 to 3 dollars a lb for certified ingot. But now it's sky high. Scrap yards usually charged about 80 cents but it's about 3x that now.

Ingot now is about $1.40/lb for 2000lbs. I just bought 200lbs for $1.90/lb. It certainly beats melting down pistons, wheels and yard crap.

I should start casting, you know how much brass I've dumped in the pacific ocean and persian gulf? Well navy brass, not sure if you can cast with that stuff or not. I know you go to jail if you try to recycle it in san diego.

Nice stuff and a good site.

You can blame the price of steel (metal) on China, their current industrial revolution is consuming more material then can be produced.

Basically because this whole thing started from making stuff for myself and I don't have anything running a CV carb. But if I get my hands on a carb so I can measure the bolt pattern, I'd do it.
