Nah....hang on to the bike.
But that's just me...I'm not real into that style truck.
Its a bit, I dunno, "cartoonish" or something.....it just doesn't look right.

i'd say do it if...
1) ya got a garage or carport or other sfae place to keep it.
2) if ya got another bike.

that truck looks cook and fun as hell. youlle have a blast, but ya mite find yerself wantin' to ride some sunny day. if ya got a back-up bike go for it.

that truck is nice man. you know flatheads are the hot shit nowadays & any steel bodyparts or grilles are also worth stupid money these days. if i had the truck, id lessen the 'suicide' on that front end. the front axle seems like its too far out in proportion to the rest of it. i think that & the coca-cola paint job are whats killing it. (and those headlight mounts.....)

i agree with beatcad - if you have another bike already, id go for it. otherwise, i wouldnt be able to survive without a bike, no matter how many cool cars or trucks i had.

I am pondering a heads up swap w/ a gentleman off the HAMB. Here is what he is offering : http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=120431

and here is what I am offering :
http://[img=http://img401.imageshack.us/img401/7415/flyritepics001kf2.th.jpg]
According to him the only issues w/ the truck is that it has a small leak in the rear end, no side glass, and runs hot in 90+ weather(normal i know). Is the truck worth it?

Thanks
That truck is a little out of proportion. If it was channeled and chopped I think it would look cooler, like a shinier version of the choppers inc truck. I can't see your bike, but if you like it I would hold on to it. That truck doesn't really do much for me. Your milage may vary.

just my opinion but that looks like the truck should sell 12-14,000.
and the bike 10-12,000. so for monetary value the truck is worth more, but thats just picture wise on a computer.if you are serious you really should get a look for yourself in person.

we all hate the truck..... but facts are facts and ebay would be kind to it..... EASILY sell for more than the bike... then build a new one...

do the trade... do it, do it...

johnny red knee.... DO IT!

That truck is not a worth 15K 10K max, who gives a shit who signed it or took a photo with it. I would not base a purchase price on what some tea bagging idiot on ebay would pay for something either. Whats your bike worth hard $ evaluate and decide. Trent from atomic had a nice A in progress for a hell of a lot less and when you were done it would be worth a hell of a lot more.

That is NOT an even trade. A Harley for, oh say, a chopped 50 Merc would be an even trade. That "Rat Rod" could be built for about 5 thousand (and a lot of DIY knowhow and labor) .
hahahha, a harley for a chopped merc? his bike is worth 10k or so tops... chopped mercs go for 30k++++++ depending

his bike IS VERY nice... but its also very cookie cutter run of the mill.... maybe he wants to move to something older with more soul and more one off type parts?

idk, im not tryin to argue, just my opinion

I think it all depends on how much you like the truck.I wouldn't trade unless it was THE rod I wanted.Flatheads do have issues and are expensive as hell to re-do.Think about another couple of grand in the truck if you don't like the front end plus it's overheating. If you want a rod that bad, sell the bike and shop cash in hand.Deals are out there when you have money on the spot.Spend some time with the truck if you want to trade.A long ride and some starting and stopping tells you a lot. -Strat.
