Wish they made em in 6volt.

Guess what always makes me wonder is the temp rating on most of the new style batteries.

Most say up to 140 deg. Its hotter than that down in the horseshoe tanks.

If the start going bad you can hit them with a DC arc welder and reset the battery.

Please explain???

-So ? You hook up wires to the Pos. & Neg. Bolt them to a bench, then
strike an arc across the Pos. connection ???

I'm looking at Lithium, purely due to size...
The smaller the battery, the more padding I can wrap it in.
Vibration I think, has caused me 3 x gel battery failures...
I can shake my latest 'MottoBatt' battery, and volts can go from anywhere
between 0 & 13 v.
The price of Lithium is a deterent though, but the Mottobat 'Gel' was $100-
They replaced it the 1st time for free...

Rigid, 650 Unit Trump...
Currently running points, but planning 'Tri-Spark' Electronic Ignition. (Purely cause
Australian made. I have to support local)

Looking at-
MOTY Design
Ballistic

I've read the posts, but am after experience with similar Units...

My next step is a sidecar with an airbag seat to mount my battery for protection.

Cheers...

I just ordered one of those Ballistic batteries off ebay for my evo sporty, about a third the size and weight of lead acid with 410 CCA, specs are pretty impressive.
What size thread are the terminals?

I'm running an Odyssey in my rigid EVO and it's on it's second year. It sat all winter on the workbench with no charger, dropped it in and fired the bike right off! It fits the octagon tank box really tight and I use mouse pads to insulate it! I'm happy!

I've been running one (Ballistic) on my rigid for about a year now....some advise,if your running an electric starter, get the largest one you can fit,the weight savings you will gain, is worth going larger in size for the CCA's you will need. I love mine :D kinda pricey though
