I geuss the biggest problem is im new to this fabrication crap (im not a true Paul Jr  at OCC) that was a joke.......... But the clamps for the bars are about a 1/4 inch (as seen in the above pic) from the tank, making it impossible to turn even if the bars were turned up. My metal abilities are shit at best, so is there another tank (mustang or orignal) that has a deeper tunnel or even shorter in length than the sportster tank i have, to go back further to get lower than the clamps or at least clear the bars?

Oh yeah scored a fender and oil tank from the same local guy for $50
