Here are some pics of the heads I just took off a 64 pan. I sat them with laquer thinner in the combustion chamber for 12 hours with not a drop of leakage through the valves. i am not really sure what this tells me. When I remove the valves for inspection, what should I be looking for.

I still need to find someone local to weld on some fins on the front head where the previous owner thought it was a good idea to be able to remove the distributor by cutting the fins...arg

You with the experienced eyes, what do you see?

The only thing I can see from the photos is that the exhaust spigot on the rear head might be getting really thin.

Those heads look great and the rear exhaust spigot i dont see a problem with it. as far as the fins go its your call you should be able to find some one to fix them that has alum exp really not that hard, I would clean them up and run them.
