Hey all, I found you a little while ago and I thought I would introduce myself. I'm Shawn from Calgary, ALberta, Canada. This is my first scoot. 1980 Honda CM400. I built it in 2 months for under $700 Cdn. the first thing I did was cut off the rear end, drop the og swingarm, set the height with a 2x4 and weld t all up. Fabbed a rear fender up from a utility trailer, the battery is in a .50 cal ammo box and a VW donated a fender for the seat pan. I made just about evey thing on this my self. The forward controls are a work in progress and are as ugy as hell. Sorta like the whole bike really. It is loud as hell, and I love it. Wrenching and riding. This winter is seeing a few changes: better seat, rework the forward controls and rear fender as well a the wiring, blah blah blah...that is untill the sun shines and I figure it is more fun to ride.
