Just bought my first shovel. You guys have any tips for keeping one of these running good? The bike is a 83 FLH, don't know alot about it. Guy said it has a "big cam" and solid lifters. Has a super E carb.

welcome! shovels are great motors and can be very dependable with a little maitinance. you will find alot of opinions on here ,me i like hyd. lifters and a cam like j grind andrews not to crazy but runs good. look up dragstews on the board ,hes sharp. my best advice is get a h-d service manual for it and learn about it. good luck .
