Was thinking of running a neck bearing conversion on a BSA A65. My concern is somewhere I had heard the tapered bearing kit will cause the upper and lower yokes to run a little apart farther from one another. Not a problem in itself, but I would like to run a nice set of outer fork sleeves that I already have and don't want to end up with a gap at the top of the sleeve-bottom of the top yoke. Anyone have this issue?

If you end up with a gap you can add a couple tastey looking spacers for very little green. The tapered bearings are worth the effort.

Good call! I could turn a couple aluminum or brass spacers on my cheap China Freight lathe easy enough.
