You said your trams was a 5 in a four case?.... Is it a ratchet top or rotating top? I am looking at redoing my primary /starter setup (smaller starter), I already have a 1 1/2" belt... But don't want to spend $1000+ just to have a smaller type starter..

8 hours in the "workshop"... good music and alot of Grovsnus!!

what else can a man wish for...hehe..

Made a simple puller out of a 5 mm (0.19") stainless steel plate, drilled three 10.5 mm holes in a triangle shape with a 12 mm center hole for the "puller bolt" and a aluminium spacer between.. not harming the axel..

had to hit the center bolt with a hammer a few times and "pop" it came off!!

I really dont think this BDL setup with my gearbox was made for this bike...

just look at the machine work done on both the inside of the engine plate and on the backside of the clutch!!

motor plate...

clutch....

Really dont like the look of that starter gear!!

can it be pressed loose and turned over?
or do I have to buy a new one?

and then i saw alittle tear in the bearing plastic thingie..

I can feel alittle "play" in the bearing and it makes a "dry" sound aswell when i spinn it!

leave it or change the bearing? what would you guys do?

cheers // Kenneth

Sweet build ... and family. I'm thinking of a black tank with colored frame. Now I got an idea what yellow would look like. Thanks.
Thanks... im really blessed.. lovley kids and a good woman :)
im not liking the yellow... but hey everyone is different..
good luck with your scoot.

jupp... is that a problem or what are you saying? :)

I did a quick paint test...
its a smooth black enamel...
brushed it on...

close up..

i will let it cure for a couple of days and se how good it will stick to the frame...

if its good.. Just brushing the whole f...ing frame and be done with that.
if its shit.. Taking the bike apart some more and powder coat it black!

its -25 celcius to day... to cold for me!!

Change out the bearing now, before it gets you while your out enjoying the ride.....especially if it feels dry-should feel smooth and have a little resistance from the lube in the cartridge itself.

I'd run the primary the way it is-who cares if it's been machined on the plate or not, if it ran well there was good clutch action.......

I've seen worse starter gears, but yes, it can be removed and a new ring can be even soured from B.D.L.

Good luck with it's reform!

cabinet jesus: thats the one i found to..
i searched for 3 h last night for a reliable source :(
BDL dont show measurments on the site just there own art numbers...EHB-100
and i read some where "they" didnt recommend buying "onknown" bearings..

d-40mm D-62mm B1-12mm

(fuck what happened to the font)

whatever :)

i dont want to take the bearing out and possible destroy something in the process. and then have a hard time finding a replacement bearing..

want to know before i brake stuff that there is a way to save me from my own fuck up..

thanks for helping out.. :)
